This township is entirely within the boundaries of the 2011-2012 Coquelle Trails Project. It includes Bald Knob, Rock Creek and Coquille River in the South Fork Historical District. This survey was completed in 1881, 1883, 1913 and 1914, and mapped in 1915 (Wright 1881; Wright 1882a; Dickerson 1883; Ganong 1917).
